CONDITION: Good antique condition with expected surface wear throughout. The wood and keys show a rich, aged patina. Some dust present, particularly in hard-to-reach areas. DETAILS: Rare regency era square piano, made by Clementi & Company of 26 Cheapside, London, circa 1820s/early 19th century. Features a veneered mahogany or rosewood case with ebony stringing, tendril-pierced panels, and original Clementi label. Stands on 7 elegant ring-turned tapered legs with brass inlays/caps. Inside, the veneered interior reflects refined Regency craftsmanship. Five-and-a-half octave keyboard with John Geib’s escapement action. This historically significant instrument is a fine example from one of the most respected English piano makers of the period.
